How to create a Statement Spear Bead Earrings

1

Step one

Cut a piece of wildfire thread approx 1m long thread on a needle and pick up alternative spear beads and size 11/0 seed beads

2

Step Two

Leaving a tail of approx 15cm tie the ends of the thread together forming a circle

3

Step Three

Pass the needle through the first 11/0 bead and the spear bead

4

Step Four

Now turn your work and go back through the centre hole of the same spear bead

5

Step Five

Pick up a 15/0 a 11/0 and a 15/0 and pass the needle through the centre of the next spear bead

6

Step Six

Continue threading 15/0, 11/0, 15/0's and pass the needle through the next spear bead, repeat to complete this round. Pass the needle all the way around again to reinforce the beads exiting through a spear bead

7

Step Seven

Turn your work and pass the needle through the top hole of the same spear bead

8

Step Eight

Pick up a 15/0 an 11/0 an 8/0 an 11/0 and a 15/0 seed bead and pass the needle through the top hole of the next spear bead. Repeat this step to complete this round and pass the needle through again to reinforce your work

9

Step Nine

Exit the thread from an 8/0 seed bead and pick up a 15/0 an 11/0 an 8/0 an 11/0, 3x15/0's, an 11/0 an 8/0 an11/0 and a 15/0

10

Step Ten

Pass the needle through the 8/0 bead again forming a loop, pass the thread through again to reinforce the loop

11

Step Eleven

To finish pass the ends through some of the beads (you can tie a knot in between beads to secure) and trim away the ends of thread. Add a shepherd hook to the beaded loop to complete the earring

12

Step Twelve

Experiment by adding spear beads to the last round as in the picture and joining the elements together for a statement look
