Beautiful Guatemala piano black jadeite rounds under strong light against the rounds can see stunning vivid glowing imperial green colour - amazing! Considering this location is know for blue Jadeite. The Burmese white jadeite rounds are more a beautiful off white pale lavender when separated from the black. I purchased this one to enable me to make a larger jewellery piece as had already purchased two strands before. Will use the sterling silver clasp with other gemstones. Thank JM **

With Jadeite I feel in comparison to so many other beautiful gemstone, it sits apart a gemstone in a league of it's own in that when carved be it a ring, pendant, beads, bangles and sculptures they are just pure mesmerising art. It's textures and sizes that have play of light through translucency and opaque moments and then the colours varied in tones have subtle colour shift thoughout natural light to indoor light. The black Jadeite rounds are different that are dense black opaque and so shinny and smooth. The white has a subtle hint of lavender. The sterling sliver clasp is beautiful and I may use with another gemstone. From a designing point Jadeite is challenging given the above mentioned. To work with this quality jadeite I have purchased several specific colour pendants that were considered purchases to what I know will work well in my designs.
