Aquaprase a gemstone we are fortunate to experiencing in our life time because, had it been discovered in the early 19th century, it would of been in private jewellery collections or museums. It is a must whilst there is there is a limited opportunity to purchase in round bead form at a reasonable price as, big jewellery houses are working with this gemstone in much smaller carat weights and bigger price tags.
This strand is beautiful unique naturally coloured Chalcedony- bluish green, brownish red, pale sage green with some white swirlings. Some beads are vibrant, some with more brown reds and all with good transparency.
A friend had sent me strands of Aquaprase of with I have made a sterling silver 16 inch necklace with the vibrant colour bluish green rounds with another two gemstones, one of which in tonal and saturation has same value as Aquaprase that both seem they were cut from one gemstone. Truely an amazing vibrant glow. Willbe making a similar necklace for myself.
With the brown red beads and pale sage green colour I made another sterling silver 16 inch necklace with has over 100 JM 5 colour fancy diamonds beads (diamond colours aren't tonally the same) and with another gemstone they all together become subdued in not to over power each other. I Also, made a matching sterling silver slider bracelet. Thank you JM **
