Cuts like a dream, however, you must prep your environment. I didn`t.
I did not clean off the oil, I couldn`t find my compasses to measure, a la Alison. I did not re watch her video. For an unknown reason I hadn`t noticed the small slot on either side of the cutter for placement of the metal, although at least I remembered that the yellow polypropylene sits beneath the cutter, it`s not just packing, which is what I originally thought.
Anyway, I cut a reasonably measured strip of JM thin copper, put it through the slot, bit gappy on one side as my cutting wasn`t very precise. Hammering was the easy part, removing the shapes more difficult as the oil residue made the cut outs sticky. Because of the iffy measuring there was a bit missing from 3 of the shapes (I cut all 4 at the same time). Had a second try.
Measured carefully, copper fitted in the slot much better. Cut. This time I managed to lose 2 of the cutouts! I hammered on the edge of a worktop over a washing machine, on the side of an old marked, paint daubed steel sink. The floor is oak effect vinyl, coppery colour, not freshly vacuumed. I had to use a torch to look for the missing heart & moon. Nothing found except dog hair. can`t pull out washer to look & nearby shoe rack will have to remain unsearched. I did however find the heart in the sink. This was easily picked up due to my still oily fingers.
The 3 recovered cut outs are perfect but I was hoping they would be large enough to use jump rings, they may well be but how do I make a hole that small? I thought in one of your photographs jump rings had been used normally, but they may have only been soldered in place. I haven`t looked at my JM metal punches yet to see if any are small enough, wonder if a nail or awl would work?
I almost returned the cutter before taking it out of the box as I was expecting something slightly bigger. I didn`t. They are lovely little shapes, nicely cut but a bit on the fiddly side for my old fingers & more of a faff in general.
If you have the patience, go for the cutter. I can`t even enclose photographs as I can`t suss out how to get them from a tablet onto this laptop!

Smaller than expected but good for accents and small charms for a necklace.

Love it! It’s the perfect size for making those smaller parts to solder onto jewellery. Been wanting one of these for ages! The price is so much more affordable than others I have seen around. Love JM so much

JM between 8am and 9a put items at higher 24/7 WEB price and aution them at great Early Bird catches a lower price deal. Don't worry! Shop ahead, check out and JM will honor the final low price when it comes to air. But guess what! JM doesn't bring the items to air, so we end up buying it at the full higher Web price that is available 24/7. All EB items disappear at 9am because after that time you, are not an Early Bird early Deal customer. If we call their JM Customer Service saying 'Hey...we trusted you...you said if we shop ahead and check out on EB listed itemst we will get a auction EB deal!' so honor that please. Customer Service says 'No!
So' Buyer Be Aware! You maybe tricked into buying EB promo 8am to 9am auction items at Full Web Page non auction prices!
