November is associated with its’ gorgeous birthstone - Citrine. The name Citrine originates from the French word ‘lemon’. Its rich, vibrant glowing yellow hues can brighten up any piece of jewellery giving you that warm, cosy vibe on a frosty winter’s day. Citrine is known for its healing qualities and believed to warn the wearer of any illnesses or poison. By following this week hints and tips tutorial you will be able to make a beautiful graduated rondelle and faceted teardrop Citrine necklace. Step One

Take a 40cm length of beading thread add a crimp bead then the end link of one of the 10cm lengths of chain, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a neat loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover. Carefully open a jump ring, add the closed jump ring and to end link of the other end of the chain and close.

Step Two

Starting with the smallest citrine rondelles graduating up, thread on half the strand (19 on my strand) with a 3mm spacer bead in between.

Step Three

Thread on a 4mm spacer bead, the largest citrine faceted drop and the other 4mm spacer bead.

Step Four

Now thread on the other half of the rondelle strand starting with the largest graduating down, with a 3mm spacer bead in between.

Step Five

Thread on a crimp bead and the end link of the other length of chain, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover. Open a jump ring add the bolt ring clasp and the end link at the other end of the chain and close.
