Learn how to make a Sapphire longline Necklace.

Sapphire the stunning birthstone of September, comes in a wide range of colours, from blue to orange and all the colours in between. Sapphire is a member of the Corundum family. Pure Corundum is known as 'White Sapphire' and has no colour and ‘Red Sapphire' does not exist, it is called Ruby! This step by step tutorial will teach you how to make a beautiful Longline Sapphire Necklace. You will need a Sapphire strand of your choice and gold spacers beads. The gold and blue hues complement each other greatly, creating a subtle yet striking piece of jewellery. Step One

Take the beading thread and thread on a crimp bead and the round of the toggle clasp. Pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover.

Step Two

Starting at one end of the sapphire strand, thread on 10 Saphires then a Miyuki gold delica bead, 10 Saphires and a gold Miyuki delica bead. Carry on with this method until all the Saphires have been threaded. Make sure you end with a full 10 Sapphires.

Step Three

Thread on a crimp bead and the bar end of the toggle clasp, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover.
