Preparation

Before you start cut your chain into the following lengths:
12 x 17 link chains
6 x 12 link chains
6 x 6 link chains
2 x approx 5" lengths of chains

Step One

Arrange your 12 x 17 link chains into a Hexagon with a six pronged star inside.

Step Two

Using Jumprings connect all the chains together in this pattern, with one in the centre and one at each prong end.

Step Three

Position the 6 x 12 link chains inside the Hexagon. Secure to each prong using jumprings through the sixth link down from the outer edge.

Step Six

Attach the Toggle Clasp to the ends of the chain.

Step Seven

Make a Spider by taking the 4" piece of 1mm black wire and make a small spiral at one end. Thread on the 5mm and 10mm beads then leaving a small gap between them, trim the wire and make another small spiral at the other end.

Step Eight

Create the Spiders legs by taking the 4 x 6" lengths of 0.6mm black wire, fold them in half and wrap each one around the gap between the beads a couple of times to secure them. Bend the wires to create the Spiders Knees and Feet.

Step Nine

Hang the web necklace on a display bust and bend or trim the spiders legs to fit the centre of the web. Using Round Nose Pliers make tiny loops at the end of each Spider leg, then hook the loops around the nearest chain links to secure the Spider onto the Web.
