1

Step One

Find the centre of the cords and measure 10cms from the centre.

2

Step Two

Tie a knot and pin down to the Macramé board to hold in place (As the bracelet develops move the pins or add more pins to hold your work in place).

3

Step Three

Separate the two most outer cords and pin approx 1 cm out at the top to hold in place.

4

Step Four

Working with the set of four cords on the left, bring the outer left cord across three cords and hold in place. (We shall refer to this cord as cord No 1 from now on).

5

Step Five

Taking the next left cord bring it up and over No 1 cord and through the loop sliding the knot up towards the pin. Repeat this action to complete the knot.

6

Step Six

Repeat step 5 with the next two cords of this set. Pin this left set of cords to the left out of the way ready to work on the opposite side.

7

Step Seven

Working with the set of cords on the right, bring the outer right cord across the three cords and hold in place (This cord now becomes No 1 cord).

8

Step Eight

Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the right side cords to mirror image the left.

9

Step Nine

Still holding No 1 cord across, bring the centre cord up and over No 1 cord and through the loop and pull up. Repeat this action to complete the knot joining the central threads together. You will now see the first chevron.

10

Step Ten

Working back on the left set of cords thread three Swarovski bicone's on cord one and one bicone on cord two and pin aside.

11

Step Eleven

Working with the centre two cords bring No 1 cord from the right across the next cord bringing it up and over and through the loop and repeat. Bring No 1 cord across the cord with one bead and holding the bead in place continue to knot the cords. Repeat knotting with the cord with three beads holding the beads in place Use the T-pins to hold your work down to the board as you go.

12

Step Twelve

Add the Swarovski's on the right side cords and repeat steps 10 and 11 to mirror image the left side.

13

Step Thirteen

Thread on a silver plated bead onto the two cords in the centre. Repeat steps 4 through 12 so that there are four sets of Swarovski crystal's and four silver plated beads in the bracelet.

14

Step Fourteen

Repeat step 4 to 9 so that you have a chevron pattern that measures 3 ½cms.

15

Step Fifteen

Repeat steps 4 and 5 and holding the cord you have just knotted with across the No 1 cord. Repeat step 4, at this point trim away the previous knotting cord before you complete the knot. Repeat this action once more on this side leaving one centre strand. Now repeat this step on the right side strands reducing the cords so there are two centre cords left. Tie an overhand knot with the two cords remaining.

16

Step Sixteen

Add Swarovski crystals to each end and secure with a knot. Unpin the bracelet from the board and turn it around to complete the chevron pattern on the other side by repeating steps 13 through to 16.

17

Step Seventeen

Cross over the four cords of the bracelet and secure into the slots over the corner of the macramé board. Using approx 30cm's of cord centre it under all four cords across the board and make a basic square knot sliding clasp of approx 2cm long.
