We have an exciting opportunity to join the JewelleryMaker team as a Product and Concept Developer working as part of our Buying & Merchandising Team based at our main office in Redditch.
You will be responsible for creating commercially driven jewellery making kits and developing new commercial opportunities in the jewellery making/craft market. The ideal candidate will be passionate about crafting, with strong creativity and commercial awareness and interested in product development. This is an extremely fast paced role working closely with the Guest Designer, Buying, Marketing and Sales teams to strict deadlines. As such excellent organisation and time management skills are essential.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSES
You will work as part of the Product Development Team to build jewellery making kits that aim to attract new customers to the craft of jewellery making in addition to kits that encourage existing customers to increase their spend. You will manage a small group of freelance jewellery designers and brief them to make specific pieces that will inspire and engage customers. You will write show plans for each new craft that guides customers through a learning process with a new range of products and techniques each show in addition to creating innovative show themes and ideas that help the sales team sell-through existing products. You will work closely with the Buying Team to develop the product range of existing jewellery making mediums in addition to researching new crafts which you will build into affordable project kits. You will be commercially focussed, passionate, innovative, creative, a team-player and ideally have an interest in jewellery making and/or crafting. You will work closely with all aspects of our business, from briefing the Buying team on project plans, briefing designers on projects they need to make, working closely with our Marketing team to launch new products to informing the Sales Team on product launches. You will be well organised and be used to managing processes which will ensure your team exceed their targets whilst inspiring and engaging our customers. The role is extremely fast-paced and plans often change last-minute so the role would suit somebody who is flexible and cool-headed. The role can be extremely rewarding as you have the opportunity to manage your own group of designers and develop them to achieve greater sales.
