Learn how to make a pearl and swarovski double strand necklace.

Add some sparkle into your jewellery collection with this beautiful duo layered Swarovski and Pearl necklace. This step by step tutorial uses 6mm golden shadow Swarovski crystal bicones spaced between cultured Pearls to create a classic necklace perfect for adding glamour to any outfit. The lustre of the Pearls against the shimmer of the Swarovski crystals will have heads turning for all the right reasons! If you wanted to experiment with different colour combinations, you could use a vibrant Swarovski bicone which would add another wow factor to this necklace. Step One

Cut a 60cm length of beading thread, add a crimp bead then a 5mm jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead. pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover.

Step Two

Starting and finishing with a pearl thread on 30 pearls with a golden shadow bicone in between.

Step Three

Now thread on another crimp bead and a 5mm jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. cut the excess thread and add a crimp cover. Set aside.

Step Four

Repeat step 1, this time with a 70 cm length of beading thread..

Step Five

Thread on 5 pearls, 1 x golden shadow bicone, 1 x pearl, 1 x golden shadow bicone. Repeat this until you have 8 sections of 5 x pearls.

Step Six

At the end of the last 5 x pearls, thread on a crimp bead and 1 x 5mm jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. cut the excess thread and add a crimp cover.

Step Seven

Open a 7mm jump ring, add the round of the toggle clasp the shorter strand jump ring then the jump ring of the longer strand, then close the 7mm jump ring.

Step Eight

Do the same with the other 7mm jump ring and the bar of the toggle

Step Nine

Add the strands in order so they hang correctly.
